Project details

Project Background

This project was applied in an industrial pipe prefabrication workshop in Russia. The site mainly processed prefabricated pipe sections of different specifications for petrochemical, power and industrial plant projects. According to drawings and site installation requirements, the workshop needed to complete pipe material cutting, fixed-length cutting, end facing, bevel processing and weld preparation.

Unlike on-site maintenance, a pipe prefabrication workshop focuses more on batch processing efficiency, dimensional consistency of pipe sections and the rhythm of later assembly. In the past, some processes relied on manual marking, manual cutting and secondary grinding. Although the work could be completed, when orders were concentrated or specifications changed frequently, problems such as lower efficiency, unstable pipe end quality and increased rework time could occur.

On-Site Application

The project site used LEHUNDI pipe prefabrication cutting and beveling equipment for batch cutting and beveling of pipe sections in different specifications. The equipment was integrated into the workshop prefabrication process and could complete fixed-length pipe cutting, end face processing and bevel preparation before welding, making it suitable for continuous production and multi-specification switching.

In actual production, the equipment was mainly used for batch pipe section cutting, standard bevel processing, pipe end facing and weld preparation.
